Armchair 'The Tired Man' with fabric cover

I had to grin quite a bit when I saw this armchair, which is appropriately named 'The Tired Man'.

Designed by Flemming Lassen for the Copenhagen Carpenters Guild competition in 1935, the upholstered armchair features organic, bear-like shapes and caused a sensation then, as it does now, with its curved shape and voluminous armrests.

In Flemming Lassen's own words, sitting on the chair should be 'as warm and safe as a polar bear cub in its mother's arms amidst the ice cap'. A family man, Flemming Lassen valued intimate relationships - with its warm exterior, 'The Tired Man' evokes domestic comfort and candlelit social gatherings.

In this version, the tired man is covered in the fabric of your choice. You can also find the sheepskin version in my shop.
