ClassiCon Monolith - Carpet
Eileen Gray not only created some of the most important furniture classics of the 20th century, but also had her own studio where carpets were made according to her designs. Some of her most beautiful designs are part of the rug collection. Monolith is based on gouaches and pencil drawings made by Eileen Gray in the 1920s. The design is characterized by beige-colored horizontal and vertical lines in different lengths, which elegantly accentuate the earthy-looking dark grey background. Some of the lines intersect without touching - they suggest a structure that appears to divide the rug into square spaces of different sizes. Hand-knotted from 100% finest virgin wool and manufactured in Nepal to the highest quality, Monolith is another impressive design that brings the artistic work of the Irish designer into focus.
Rug made from 100% hand-spun New Zealand virgin wool. Hand-knotted with a density of 124,000 knots per square meter. Environmentally friendly color pigments, tested according to OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100. Easy to clean and suitable for vacuum cleaners.
