This season, Florence Bourel has been inspired by the works of the master of abstract composition, Serge Poliakoff. The freedom of composition, the form and the exploration of colour are indicative of the interpretation of his world and flow into the carpet called Polia.
The eye is drawn to the center of the rug and then jumps around that eye, open to the world.
The carpet comes from the traditional company Toulemonde Bochart near Paris, which has grown from a small, fine family business into a well-known and extremely innovative carpet specialist.
