Large pendant light 'Ghost'

At Danish design studio Woud, you will find Scandinavian minimalism in a particularly elegant guise. Carefully selected colors, textiles and materials create timeless and durable products that lose nothing of their aesthetics and functionality even decades later

The idea for the design of the 'Ghost' lamp came to Hamburg designer Andreas Kowalewski at a flea market where he saw an old oil lamp. The result was a luminaire with an opal glass shade for the Danish label Woud.

The lampshade creates the illusion of a white fabric thrown over a light source. A groove pattern running from bottom to top enhances this effect.
