In 1945, Mogens Koch simplified the countless transverse folds of the Le Klint lamp and transformed them into a more stringent lamp shade shape. The oval silhouette lends the lamp a calm appearance and reminds of the traditional Japanese paper lamps.
The closed shape makes the model with the number 105 perfect for high rooms, as the light radiates in all directions.
The lighting manufacturer Le Klint has been an outstanding ambassador for Danish design and arts and crafts since the 1940s and is not least known for its unique collection of handmade lampshades designed according to Japanese origami principles.
By the way, 'Le Klint' is also a purveyor to the Danish royal family and has been manufacturing all its lamps with great care in Denmark since 1943.
