Luminaire 'Denq'

In 1980, a Japanese designer shocked the world with his defiant attitude to 'good design'. Since then Toshiyuki Kita has been regarded as one of the most important players in the design scene. Alternating between high-tech projects and more challenging forays into traditional Japanese art.

With the Denq lamp, which the designer created for the Italian lamp label Oluce, he created a simple, unconditional form that reveals the hidden poetry in austere lines.
