Hay schnapps for grandpa

When the Hotel Wetterhorn was kissed awake again after almost 30 years of hibernation, the new operators discovered an old document in the cellar vault which seemed to be several centuries old. It was the recipe for the legendary Hasliberger Heuschnaps.

For a long time, the recipe for hay schnapps was well protected and passed on from generation to generation. No one was privy to the secret of the recipe. Behind the trunk, by the way, there is a gruesome saga telling of two unequal brothers. Hay schnapps plays a central role in this and can be interpreted as a sign of the Holy Spirit and catharsis.

How the recipe came into the basement of the Hotel Wetterhorn is not known until today. However, committed to history and tradition, the operators have decided to distil hay brandy according to the old tradition and bring it to the people.

With every sip of hay schnapps, as they say in the Haslital, the fallible brother moves a little closer to heaven and salvation.
