Wooden Doll No. 22 by Vitra

What is that stealthily looking at us from the shelf? A rather ornate doll with long legs.

This doll is called 'No.22' and is part of the wooden doll company 'Wooden Dolls', which Alexander Girard first designed for his own home in Santa Fe in 1952. The sometimes happy, sometimes grim faces of the figures were just as inspiring then as they are today, which is why 'Vitra' has included them in their famous collection. Just like back then, every single doll is made and painted by hand. So each 'Wooden Doll' is also unique.

As a small, charming enrichment of the interior, the 'Dolls' set accents and look really great especially together with other figures from the family. Alexander Girard dealt intensively with different folk arts during his work and often drew inspiration from them.

An eye-catcher that awakens a passion for collecting!
