It is not without pride that the label 'Valerie Objects' presents the new tableware set by Maarten Baas: a whole set of tableware objects, from plates to water carafes, called 'Inner Circle'.
Although the shapes seem playful and naive, the workmanship is stunning. 'When you design a loose form, you have to pay extra attention to detail,' Baas says. 'If not, their design looks grungy and loses its appeal.
Baas also contrasted the organic shapes with a muted colour palette to keep it stylish. 'When a chef arranges a dish, he does it with great care, but avoids perfect geometry. There has to be a certain panache to it. I created 'Inner Circle' in the same way'.
