Asymmetrical carafe 'Strandgade'

Copenhagen architects Mentze Ottenstein took inspiration from their neighborhood, named after the historic street where they live, when designing their 'Strandgade' series for 'Audo'.

Made of hand-blown glass, the series' carafe has an asymmetrical silhouette that fits comfortably in the hand and makes it easy to pour water or homemade elderflower syrup. It combines function and nostalgia in the most beautiful way for me.

The smaller of the two bottles is formed of clear glass, while the larger has a darker hue. Each unique design varies in size and shape due to the handmade nature of each piece.
