The Swiss label Manufakt is brand new to me. For more than 30 years, all furniture, including their typical cast feet, are made here in old craftsmanship. Welded, bent, sanded, lacquered, powder coated, cast. Small differences are therefore inevitable and bring a lot of charm to the garden furniture.
Matching to the round tube chairs with the coloured PVC-latex I have of course also the matching tables from 'Manufakt' in my luggage. And they also come in many great RAL colours.
All sheet metal plates are produced 100% by hand in a process that takes several hours, followed by galvanizing, priming and finally powder coating. Three layers thus protect the plate for many years. All frames are hot-dip galvanized at 480 degrees and after a while they show the grey discoloration that is typical for this process.
I really like how many steps go into each one of these garden tables. The dinner with the loved ones somehow tastes a little better and you appreciate the time together a little more.
