This small two-seater sofa saw the light of day at the Copenhagen Joiner's Guild Exhibition in 1941. Compared to the norm of the time, the sofa's upholstery was very slim and it was the result of Finn Juhl's ambition to create functional furniture for smaller homes.
The Poet Sofa is also one of Finn Juhl's experiments for his own home. The small piece of seating furniture is a very comfortable embrace for two people who like each other and therefore also like to be close to each other on the sofa.
The little sofa got its name much later, in 1959, when a popular Danish cartoonist depicted this very sofa as the place where a young poet retreats to reflect on the complexities of life.
The Poet Sofa features hand-stitched upholstery in fabric or leather. You can choose the legs in oak, walnut or black lacquer.
