Japanese Kitchen Knife 'Zuiun Santoku'

I discovered beautiful Japanese knives at 'Kanetsugu', a company that has been making beautiful cutting tools in Seki for 100 years.

'Petty' is a small Japanese kitchen knife with a blade made of 63 layers of Damascus steel. To celebrate the company's centenary, the Zuiun knives have been created: a combination of classic Japanese craftsmanship and high-tech steel.

Zuiun' roughly translates as 'lucky cloud', - a knife as a harbinger of happiness and contentment.

The knife has an 18 cm long blade in Kiritsuke style and a beautifully crafted handle made of laminated wood. The octagonal handle fits comfortably in the hand and is easy to handle.

A great cutting tool that promises maximum sharpness and durability.
