Chair 'Lukki'

Originally, the Finnish designer Ilmari Tapiovaara designed the Lukki furniture series for the student residences of the Helsinki University of Technology.

One of these pieces of furniture that I would like to introduce to you is the chair in the collection. It consists of tubular steel with seat, back and armrests made of pressed birch plywood. It is also stackable, lightweight and hard-wearing, making it universal and versatile.

The short arms make it easy to pull the chair very close to a table, which simplifies learning at the desk or while eating, while providing the necessary support and comfort.

I like the chair as a unique piece in my home, where it stands quite untroubled, sometimes the pile of books in the room, the jacket in the entrance area holds or offers itself to me as a seat.
