Today we have another gem from his work: the 'Cocktail Table'.
In the 1950s, the economy in the USA was booming. Hollywood and the new upper class had made cocktail parties immensely popular and Finn Juhl was immediately impressed by this newfound American extravagance, which he experienced through his new and influential American friends.
The elegant three-legged coffee table is an evolution of his earlier eye-shaped table, but as the saying goes, 'everything has to be bigger in America'. Despite its size and thanks to its organic shape with rounded corners, the 'Cocktail Table' allows free movement around it.
The side table is light and elegant with refined design details. The 'Cocktail Table' is made of oak or walnut and has a table top in white high-gloss laminate.
