A few years ago, I discovered the Zürisee bath towel for myself. A short time later, another bijou by graphic designer Doris Oberneder followed: the Tüechli for Baden & Ennetbaden.
2000 years ago, the Romans tapped the first thermal spring in Baden and Ennetbaden. Spectacular finds bear witness to a lively Roman bathing culture in the region - no wonder, since it boasts the most mineral-rich thermal water in Switzerland.
While one towel is adorned with a depiction of Aphrodite, the goddess of beauty and love, this one is emblazoned with Antínoo, a godlike mortal: the bath towel is a reminiscence of Roman bathing culture and revives historical figures.
The striking design with retro charm was implemented in high-quality, four-color jaquard weave with 100% cotton yarn in Oeko-Tex® Standard 100. It is manufactured by 'Wirtex', the oldest terry weaving mill in Austria. Thanks to the gentle 'slow-weaving' process, it keeps its shape and remains absorbent.
Perfectly shaped bathing in retro look and enjoy the story behind it several times over - this bath towel makes it possible.
