A single continuous line. The design principle of the tubular steel cantilever chair is one of the masterpieces of Bauhaus architect and furniture maker Marcel Breuer.
As a comfortable club chair, the Lounger was presented in 1930 at the Grand Palais in Paris as a contribution by the Deutscher Werkbund. With the 'S 35', Breuer has succeeded in incorporating all the functions of a free-swinging tubular steel armchair into the construction of a single line. This doubled the effect, as the armrests, which spring independently of the seat, balance the swinging. The upholstery in deep black core leather shows a sense of elegance and stands in noble contrast to the tubular frame.
A thoroughly comfortable armchair which, in return for its raw and archaic appearance, invites you to linger. Especially in combination with the matching ottoman.
A design icon, a Bauhaus child and a piece of furniture with cult and character.
